Empire Fighting Chance
Enhancing digital engagement and accesability
Founded in Bristol in 2006, Empire Fighting Chance is a charity that transforms young lives by combining boxing with psychology, offering unwavering support to those who need it most. As their impact grew, so did the need for a more accessible and engaging website, one that could better connect with their audience and drive online donations.
My primary focus was to improve the website’s UI/UX, ensuring it was user-friendly and accessible while also optimizing it to encourage increased donations. This was a collaborative effort involving multiple partners: Blu Inc, Empire’s trusted agency, project managed; BeKindred provided the brand guidelines and IOMI handled the development. I also worked closely with Empire’s Communications & Advocacy Manager who played a key role in project management.
I refined the website’s structure and interface, prioritizing clear navigation and an intuitive user experience. By aligning the design with Empire Fighting Chance’s brand identity, I ensured consistency and resonance with their audience. The donation process was streamlined to make contributions frictionless, increasing the likelihood of engagement and support. Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with stakeholders to ensure that the final product met both functional and strategic objectives.
The new website created a more seamless user experience, making it easier for visitors to learn about Empire Fighting Chance’s mission and contribute to their cause. With a clearer, more accessible design and an simplified donation process, the site helped to strengthen the charity’s digital presence, ultimately supporting its goal of empowering young people through sport and psychological support.
